Photo Exhibition, "Green Corridor Costa Rica, between two oceans, between two continents"

"Green Corridor Costa Rica", photo exhibit was held during the period from June 2nd to July 12th, 2004.

Costa Rica called "the Green Corridor" which is long and narrow connecting North America and South America was also a stage of "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton.

In addition, the country is known having no-war constitution. While located in the tropical zone, high mountain of 3000m grade ranges, and tropical mist forest zone is formed. Costa Rican nature was attractive.

The general conference of World Association of Zoos and Aquariums was held in the capital San Jose in 2003. There, I met Mr. Kenji Nishida who is studying insect at the University of Costa Rica. He already described some new species of insects. This time the photograph exhibition which Mr. Nishida took and saved came true. Various creatures condensed within the Green Corridor are the reflection of various environments, or various ecosystems there. Conservation of ecosystem means the protection of conservation of biodiversity of the species.

I am sure this is a message of Mr. Nishida through this photograph exhibition.
